CCL Stressing – Mature Structure Award

London Bridge in Central London which used CCL post-tensioned anchorages won the Mature Structures Award presented by the Concrete Society.

The prestigious Concrete Society Awards initiative recognises excellence in the use of concrete.

This is aimed at structures over 25 years of age which have sustained the test of time and are judged worthy of recognition.

The current London Bridge was designed by Mott, Hay & Anderson, constructed by John Mowlem in 1972, and opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 17 March 1973.
