CCL is delighted to have been selected by the Kuwait Ministry of Public Works to work on a new BOT (build, operate, transfer) building within the emirate. This will include the provision of shop drawings, PT materials and supervision of on-site PT activities.
The build will involve the post-tensioning of a basement, ground floor, roof level and nine intermediate levels, with a total project area of 24,500 m2.
The announcement followed a number of site visits supervised by CCL, explaining the benefits of using PT for ministry staff and officials.
During these events visitors were taken through the range of elements used during the PT construction technique. Following this, the group was given a tour of the worksite, which involved being shown and talked through the PT process.
The MOPW’s design and operation staff were later welcomed to an informative presentation discussing CCL’s comprehensive portfolio of specialised engineered solutions for structures.
Visitors to the event, held at the ministry’s main building, included the assistant of the deputy minister, the heads of design and the heads of commissions.
Outlining the benefits of selecting CCL’s range of services for the precast market, post-tensioning, geotechnical works and repair and strengthening, the CCL team provided those in attendance with a complete overview of their systems and capabilities, before taking questions from the floor.
