CCL provided a fully integrated, customised flooring solution, from subgrade to finish, for the production dry storage and cold storage facility for Alfafries.
CHALLENGE
CCL’s objective was to design, install and complete concrete finishing for seamless SigmaSlab®’s on ground and SURFACE slabs on ground (SOG) of up to 50m x 25m for freezer and chilled rooms. The slabs were required to be flat, level and provide high-wear resistance and in the production area, aligning the slab design with the existing drainage system.
SOLUTION
With perfect coordination between CCL and the client, consultant and cold storage supplier, CCL successfully completed the slabs on ground for this facility, achieving a flatness and levelness tolerance of FM2 as per TR34. The facility consisted of multiple refrigerated rooms and freezer rooms, in addition to a dry storage area, requiring CCL to customise the seamless SOG solution for each room.
