ATHENA, STRATFORD HIGH STREET, LONDON, UK

A landmark mixed-use development, Athena, is a dual-tower structure at 160-188 Stratford High Street in the London Borough of Newham. The main tower rises 26 storeys with an adjoining low-rise block of 10 storeys. Athema gives long-range views across London and the Olympic Park.

Set on an L-shaped 0.82-hectare site, Athena’s frame was completed in December 2008. The building will contain 298 flats (one, two, and three-bedroom), 1,115 m² of ground-floor commercial space for retail or office use, and parking for 80 cars. CCL provided their new CARES-approved unbonded post-tensioning system, along with full-time supervision for installation and stressing of the post-tensioning works to the suspended slabs.

CCL works hard to develop close working relationships with clients who turn to CCL for its exceptional customer service, advanced knowledge, and innovative solutions. Some of the world’s largest and high-profile construction companies trust CCL to deliver proactive, tailored solutions to complex problems.

Lancsville Construction appointed CCL for the post-tensioning works because of its proven ability to react quickly to their needs, previous performance, and well-maintained relationships on similar successful projects.
