CCL has been commissioned to deliver the full scope of works for the UHPC façade of the Administrative City project, a landmark development located on a 40-acre site.
The project comprises 16 low-rise modern office buildings, fully fitted out, along with associated car park structures, a medical centre, and conference facilities. The site also features complex hard and soft landscaping, including an internal road network and utilities infrastructure.
For this extensive project, CCL is responsible for the complete design, manufacture, supply, installation, and supervision of installation for all façade elements. To support the delivery, CCL has established a dedicated local subsidiary, CCL Benin, specifically to carry out the installation phase of the project.
The façade consists of two main types of Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) elements: approximately 18,000 sunshade fins – totalling 60 kilometres in length – and 50,000 cladding panels, covering an area of 40,000 m².
The fins are engineered for both function and form, each with a thickness of 6 cm, a width of 40 cm, and spanning 3.5 metres. These elements are designed to enhance the building’s aesthetic while providing solar shading and contributing to energy efficiency.
