INDIGO TOWER, DUBAI, UAE

The 35-storey Indigo Tower, with its striking A-shaped structural design, indigo glass and silver-grey exterior is unique in concept and epitomises modern architecture.

The tower encompasses retail outlets, residential quarters and office spaces. The project is a mixed-use building, comprising of 272 apartments, 68 office units, car parking spaces on over four levels, retail spaces, restaurants and a beautifully designed entrance foyer on the ground floor.

CCL was commissioned by consulting engineers WS Atkins to provide a floor solution that could provide a thinner slab within construction schedule parameters.

CCL met their needs by providing a custom solution to design and install 32,662 m2 of slabs, which not only met the design requirements, but also provided a rapid construction sequence.

WS Atkins also found that the use of specialist post-tensioning design could overcome the limitations of traditional concrete construction under the complex design and architectural envelopes.
