CCL used SigmaSlab® Technology to provide a fully integrated flooring solution, from subgrade to finish, offering a jointless, sloped, flat and durable industrial floor for the cold storage and production of this Italian Cheese Factory located in Riyadh.
CHALLENGE
CCL’s objective was to carry out the design, installation and concrete finishing for this project. The company aimed to use CCL and Bekaert’s SigmaSlab® technology to create a sloped floor whilst also eliminating the need for joints. The challenge in this project was ensuring the slopes met, which were imposed by the drainage requirements.
SOLUTION
CCL’s design team worked seamlessly with the CCL SURFACE application team to successfully design and execute sloped floors, with a 1% slope in wet areas and a flatness and levelness tolerance of FM2 as per TR34. CCL also eliminated joints and provided a hygienic environment for the food factory with the optimal slab solution using SigmaSlab® technology.
