Tawfeer, a discounted supermarket retailer in Lebanon required a fully integrated flooring solution for its distribution centre in Lebanon to maximise productivity of the facility and provide the ultimate surface for all activities and material handling equipment (MHE).
CHALLENGE
CCL was to provide a fully integrated flooring solution to support VNA racking systems and provide a joint-free, crack-free, dustproof and high abrasion resistant slab-on-ground. It was critical that the slab could support the high weight of 100kN/m2.
SOLUTION
Two 110 x 70m jointless VNA slabs were designed, installed, finished and polished by CCL’s SURFACE jointless flooring specialists. The slab supports 222-metre-high racking and its imposed weight. The use of the long-strip concrete pouring method achieved high tolerance and flatness in the 22 aisles.
