The first SigmaSlab® on ground has been completed in Saudi Arabia which was specifically tailored to our client, Transmed Logistics requirements.
The client was facing problems with the maintenance and flatness of their current warehouse floors so they turned to CCL to devise a jointless, durable and flat floor to enhance their productivity.
CCL undertook the design, approved by our partner Bekaert, supply of Dramix® fibers and CCL XU2 stressing system, provided supervision of the installation on site and completed the concrete finishing using CCL specialist equipment.
A 1,250m2 (50m x 25m) slab was completed using SigmaSlab® technology. This cutting-edge approach ensured a jointless, flat slab-on-ground, specifically crafted to boost productivity within Transmed Logistics’ warehouse operations and avoid disruptions from joint maintenance.
The unique features of SigmaSlab® including construction speed, enhanced durability, and exceptional flatness have not only met but exceeded our client’s expectations. By achieving this milestone in the Kingdom, we have set new benchmarks for speed, efficiency, and reliability in warehouse infrastructure.
CCL operated as the main flooring contractor on this project and provided a turnkey solution for this warehouse floor from subgrade to concrete finishing.
