CCL’s objective was to reduce slab thickness, reduce the number of piles, and reduce deflection as the façade requirement was strict. The company designed a post-tensioned solution which answered these requirements, reducing slab thickness from 400 mm to 200 mm, as well as supervising the installation on site.

Vertical post-tensioning was carried out on three 84-metre-high concrete wind turbine bases using 9-15 and 5-15/1-15 tendons. 

The project involved the installation and execution of vertical post-tensioning using CCL XV tendons and active CCL XM anchors, incorporating 15 tons of strands. The aim was to address the structural demands of a test rig designed to evaluate the capacity of windmill wings. The dynamic nature of these tests, particularly the significant cantilever effect, created substantial structural challenges that required innovative solutions.

Significant damage had been caused at both ends of the bridge and the prestressed anchors were found to be corroded. CCL was commissioned to carry out the replacement of the anchorages.

CCL has carried out the post-tensioning for an elevated bridge extension to the new Cityringen line of the Copenhagen Metro system.
