We are pleased to announce that AB Skandinavisk Spännbetong, a subsidiary of CCL group company Skandinavisk Spændbeton, has acquired Swedish post-tensioning company, Internordisk Spännarmering, formerly part of Skanska. As of 1st January 2018, all Internordisk Spännarmering operations will transfer to AB Skandinavisk Spännbetong.
The agreement brings Internordisk Spännarmering’s post-tensioning expertise into CCL’s Scandinavian operations with a team of 20 Internordisk Spännarmering professionals operating across Scandinavia from the company’s headquarters south of Stockholm. In addition to the post-tensioning of bridges, buildings, hydro power and nuclear plants, Internordisk Spännarmering’s activities also include bridge bearings and expansion joints and the supply and installation of high strength steel bars.
The acquisition of Internordisk Spännarmering will enhance the group’s capabilities in the Swedish construction and civil engineering market, supporting the existing high levels of service and technical expertise.
Bjarne Landgrebe, COO Europe, North commented “This is an important acquisition for us designed to ensure that we continue to offer our customers in Sweden the broadest range of structural solutions with a growing team of experienced professionals.
“We are delighted that we have now completed this deal with a company that brings such a respected reputation to our business in Sweden and we look forward to integrating their operations with our own in 2018.”
