CCL (GB) achieves ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System
CCL (GB) has further enhanced its quality credentials by achieving ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System for the Supply and Installation of Post-Tensioning Systems in Concrete Structures. This is designed to allow organisations to develop and implement a policy and objectives which take into account legal and other requirements to which it subscribes, and significant environmental factors.
The accreditation, which was issued by UK CARES, applies to aspects of business that companies are able to monitor in terms of environmental impact and which include, supply of raw materials, manufacturing processes, on-site activities and commercial and administrative operations. In order to achieve approval, CCL (GB) carried out a rigorous assessment of its activities and formally established an environmental management system in agreement with CARES, on which the Company will be audited on an ongoing basis.
In its attempt to minimise its impact on the environment and promote best practice, CCL is constantly seeking to reduce energy consumption, minimise pollution and wastage and to increase its recycling capability. Using communication, education and training to convey this message, the Company ensures that employees and suppliers are fully aware of its environmental commitments and understand the importance of their role in achieving these goals.
