Post-tensioned slabs installed on Sky Fort in Bulgaria

CCL Post-tensioned Slabs are currently being installed on Sky Fort, a prestigious office tower currently under construction in Sofia, Bulgaria.

CCL is working in partnership with structural engineering company Strukto Ltd, supplying its XF flat slab bonded system and equipment for the entire structure. To provide additional corrosion protection in the three basement levels, CCL’s encapsulated XF system is being installed. Construction of the building began in autumn 2016 with the first CCL tendons installed early 2017.

Seven basement pours have been carried out to date, covering an area of 9,000 sq. m.

Sky Fort is to become the tallest skyscraper in the country at over 200 metres high and will consist of 49 upper storeys with three underground levels of parking.

Designed by A&A Architects, the building will provide comfortable office space with incredible views towards Sofia, Vitosha Mountain and the Sofia Valley. It is expected to be completed in 2020.
