Vertical PT for Swedish structure

CCL’s new Swedish company has recently completed post-tensioning work on the STHLM New structure in Stockholm, Sweden.

Shaped like an inverted tripod, the building extends outwards as one ascends and the area of the higher floors increases. CCL carried out the vertical post-tensioning on the 102-metre-high structure, which will be one of Stockholm’s tallest buildings.

This distinctive skyscraper is one of seven structures in the STHLM New Creative Business Space, an urban development for creative companies in the south of Stockholm. It is being built on old industrial land in an area where business accommodation is in short supply. This new creative hub will create around 6000 jobs and ease crowding in Stockholm’s inner city.

The tower is expected to achieve an LEED rating of Platinum and should be ready for occupancy in 2020.
