March 13, 2018

CCL has begun work on the new Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, a specialist oncology hospital in the centre of Liverpool which is part of a £162 million investment to improve cancer care across Merseyside and Cheshire.

The Cancer Centre is being built next to the new Royal Liverpool University Hospital and the University of Liverpool. The structure will comprise 11 floors and include 110 single en-suite inpatient rooms.

CCL has designed the post-tensioned slabs for above ground levels 0-8 and has now commenced installation of its XF flat slab system.

Due to open in 2020, the new Cancer Centre will provide specialist chemotherapy and other drug therapies, radiotherapy, inpatient and outpatient care, cancer support and rehabilitation, bone marrow transplant and urgent cancer care.
